Why it's called that

The Drip Was Invented Here

🏥 Baltimore, Maryland
Dr. John Myers, a Baltimore physician

For decades in the mid-1900s, Dr. John Myers gave his Baltimore patients vitamins and minerals by IV — long before "IV therapy" was a storefront. He never wrote the recipe down. After he died in 1984, a colleague, Dr. Alan Gaby, took over many of his patients, reconstructed the formula, and published it under Myers' name. It's now one of the most widely given IV nutrient formulas in the world. Vita Nova administers it at 513 Bayview Blvd, a few miles from where it started.

We keep the formula close to Gaby's version: vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, a B-complex, and B12 — in a liter of fluids so it's also a proper rehydration.

Who books it

Four People This Is the Right Drip For

Never had an IV before

This is the one we recommend. It covers the most ground, it's gentle, there's no medication in it, and it tells you quickly whether IV therapy does anything for you.

Run down and can't say why

Not sick, just flat: poor sleep, long weeks, eating on the go. Magnesium and B vitamins are the usual gaps, and this drip has both.

Before or after a trip

The all-purpose reset. Fluids, vitamin C and B vitamins before you go; the same on the way back.

The monthly maintenance person

Members who want one dependable drip a month and don't want to choose. This is the default.

What's in the bag

Five Ingredients — and What Each Is For

Vitamin C
Immune · collagen · antioxidant

The immune and skin vitamin. By IV it reaches levels a tablet can't, because your gut stops absorbing it past a few hundred milligrams a dose.

Magnesium
Energy · muscle relaxation · calm

The workhorse of the formula and the mineral most people run low on. Your cells need it to make usable energy, and it relaxes tight muscles and a busy nervous system. Magnesium pills at useful doses tend to upset stomachs; the IV doesn't.

Calcium
Nerve & muscle signaling

Balances the magnesium. The two work as a pair for muscle contraction and relaxation and nerve signaling.

B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
Turning food into energy

Every step of converting what you eat into energy uses a B vitamin. They're water-soluble, not stored, and used up daily, which is why levels dip in stressful weeks.

B12 (hydroxocobalamin)
Nerves · red blood cells · energy

A long-lasting form of B12 that your body holds onto longer than the cheap synthetic kind. By IV it bypasses the gut, which matters for people who don't absorb B12 well.

Good to know

Who Should Check With Us First

Because the bag contains magnesium, calcium and vitamin C, people with significant kidney disease, certain heart-rhythm conditions, or G6PD deficiency, and anyone who is pregnant, should be reviewed before booking, and some should skip it. Tell the nurse about all conditions, allergies and medications at intake; every patient is screened under Dr. Joshi's oversight before the first infusion.

The default monthly drip for Vitality Circle members

If you want one dependable drip a month and don't want to think about it, this is the one. The Vitality Circle ($99.99/month) includes one monthly perk (1 standard IV drip, 2 IM shots, 2 IV pushes, or 1 shot + 1 push) — Myers' qualifies as the drip — then 25% off additional wellness services. The Myers' Cocktail IV at Vita Nova in Canton, Baltimore costs $199.99 for a 45–60 minute infusion of vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, B-complex vitamins and B12 in a liter of fluids. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
A Myers' Cocktail is an IV drip of vitamin C, magnesium, calcium, a B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6) and vitamin B12, given in a liter of fluids. Vita Nova uses hydroxocobalamin, a long-lasting form of B12. It's the classic all-round wellness formula, designed to cover immune support, energy, muscle relaxation and hydration in one 45–60 minute session at 513 Bayview Blvd, Canton, Baltimore.
Yes. It's named for Dr. John Myers, a physician who practiced in Baltimore, Maryland and gave vitamins and minerals by IV to his patients for decades until his death in 1984. He never published the recipe; his colleague Dr. Alan Gaby reconstructed it afterward and published it under Myers' name, and it became one of the most widely used IV nutrient formulas in the world. Vita Nova administers it in Canton, Baltimore, in the city where it started.
Most people describe steadier energy and feeling less run-down for several days to a week after a Myers' Cocktail, often with better sleep and fewer muscle aches from the magnesium. It's a wellness infusion that replaces the fluids, magnesium, B vitamins and vitamin C that stress, poor sleep and travel use up; it doesn't treat or cure any condition, and results vary. It's given at Vita Nova in Canton, Baltimore over 45–60 minutes with no driver needed. If you mostly feel wiped out on your days off, our guide to why you feel tired on weekends covers the common causes to rule out first.
Yes — it's the drip Vita Nova recommends to anyone trying IV therapy for the first time. It covers the widest range of nutrients in one bag, it's well tolerated, there's no medication in it, and it tells you quickly whether IV therapy does anything for you. Once you know, the targeted drips — Beauty, Glutathione Brightening, Immunity, Beast Mode, NAD+ — are each the Myers' idea pointed at one goal.
Once a month is the usual rhythm for a Myers' Cocktail at Vita Nova; the B vitamins and magnesium it contains are used up continuously, so monthly keeps a baseline. Some people come more often during a demanding stretch and settle to monthly afterward, and others book it only as needed before or after travel. There's no prescribed course. Vitality Circle membership includes one drip a month, which makes the monthly rhythm practical.
