When to book it

Six Days When Water Isn't Enough

☀️ After a hot Baltimore day

Orioles game, the harbor, yard work in August humidity. Headachy, drained, and water sits in your stomach. (Heat stroke — confusion, no sweating, very high temperature — is a 911 call, not a wellness IV.)

✈️ After a long flight

Cabin air is drier than a desert. Land at BWI, come in the next day, feel like a person again.

🤢 After a stomach bug

When you've been sick for a day and can't get fluids to stay down, the drip skips the stomach. If you're still actively nauseous, the Hangover IV adds anti-nausea medicine.

🏃 After a hard session or race

Sweat losses that a bottle of water on the drive home doesn't replace. Add a B12 push if you're flat.

🍸 After a late night

Mildly hungover — tired and dry, not sick. Fluids alone often do it. Sick as well? Hangover IV.

🌿 A monthly reset

The drip most members use as their included monthly IV, with a glutathione or B12 push on top. Simple, cheap, no medication.

02
Why IV, not a bottle of water

Where the Water Goes — and How Fast

Drinking water
30–90 minutes, if it stays down

Water has to travel through your stomach and be absorbed by your intestine before it reaches your blood. After exercise, in heat, or when nauseous, that slows down — and plain water doesn't replace the salts you lost.

IV fluids
Minutes, regardless of your stomach

A liter goes straight into the bloodstream with the electrolytes already in it. Most people feel the difference before the bag is finished. Nothing in it is sedating; you drive yourself home.

Lactated Ringer's, in plain terms: it's water with sodium, potassium, calcium and chloride in the same balance as your blood. We use it instead of plain saline for most people because it's gentler on your body's acid balance in a full liter. Saline is used when the nurse decides it's the better fit.

03
Build your drip

Start With Fluids — Add What You Need

The Hydration Boost is the base every other drip is built on. If you want more than fluids, add a push in the same chair, same visit. Members choose one included perk a month (a drip, two pushes, two shots, or one of each); a drip plus a push at 25% off is a common member visit.

Who Should Check With Us First

A liter of fluid in an hour is easy for most bodies and hard for a few. If you have heart failure, significant kidney disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or a known electrolyte disorder, tell us before booking so the nurse and Dr. Joshi can decide whether a drip — or a smaller one — is right for you. Every patient is screened before the first infusion; this just saves you a trip.

The drip most members use as their monthly IV

The Vitality Circle ($99.99/month) includes one perk a month: 1 standard drip, 2 IM shots, 2 IV pushes, or 1 shot + 1 push. Take the Hydration Boost as your perk and add a glutathione or B12 push at 25% off in the same hour. Try one first; join if you'll keep coming.

Frequently Asked Questions

Hydration IV — Your Questions, Answered

The Hydration Boost IV at Vita Nova in Canton, Baltimore costs $139.99 for a liter of balanced electrolyte fluid over 45–60 minutes, the lowest-priced drip on the menu. No membership is required. Add-on pushes are $74.99 (B12, vitamin C, zinc) or $84.99 (glutathione). Vitality Circle members ($99.99/month) choose one included perk each month: 1 standard drip, 2 IM shots, 2 IV pushes, or 1 shot + 1 push. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
Vita Nova's Hydration Boost IV is one liter of lactated Ringer's solution — sterile water with sodium, potassium, calcium and chloride in the same proportions as your blood — or normal saline when the nurse judges it the better fit. It contains no vitamins or medication unless you add a push. That simplicity is the point: it's the fastest, gentlest way to replace fluid and salts, and the base other drips are built on.
For everyday hydration, no — drink water. For the days when you're genuinely depleted, an IV is faster and more complete: a liter goes straight into the bloodstream in minutes instead of taking 30–90 minutes through the gut, it works even if you can't keep water down, and it replaces the electrolytes plain water doesn't. That's why people book the Hydration Boost at Vita Nova after heat, travel, a stomach bug, a hard session or a late night, not as a daily habit.
The Hydration Boost IV takes 45–60 minutes at Vita Nova, and most people feel better before the bag is finished. How long it lasts depends on why you were depleted: after heat, travel or a late night, people generally feel restored for the rest of the day and the next. It's not a substitute for drinking water day to day. No driver is needed; appointments are recommended, and walk-ins are seen when availability allows.
Yes. At Vita Nova you can add a B12, vitamin C or zinc push ($74.99) or a glutathione push ($84.99) to the Hydration Boost in the same visit, which is how most people who want "fluids plus something" do it. Vitality Circle members can choose two pushes as their included monthly perk, or take the drip as the perk and add a push at 25% off. If you want several vitamins in one bag, the Myers' Cocktail ($199.99) is the step up.
IV hydration suits most healthy adults but not everyone. A liter of fluid in an hour can be a problem for people with heart failure, significant kidney disease, uncontrolled high blood pressure, or certain electrolyte disorders; tell the nurse at Vita Nova about any of these, and about your medications, before booking. Every patient is screened before the first infusion under physician oversight. Severe dehydration or heat stroke is an emergency — call 911.
Not on its own. When dehydration is behind the tiredness, such as after an illness, a hard workout, a hot day or a big night out, many people feel the fluid side within 30 to 60 minutes. Tiredness that keeps coming back is different: one IV is not a cure, and it's worth asking your doctor about iron, thyroid, sleep and mood. If it mostly hits on your days off, our guide to why you feel tired on weekends walks through the usual causes.
Both can help. A session 24 to 48 hours before you leave builds a buffer for the driest part of the trip, the flight, while a session after you land shortens the rebound. If you can only pick one, the post-trip visit usually gives the more noticeable benefit. An IV doesn't replace drinking water on the plane, and it won't fix jet lag on its own: your body clock still needs daylight and regular sleep times.
If you mostly lost fluids, for example after a stomach bug, the Hydration Boost is usually enough. If you're also run down after several days of poor eating, the Myers' Cocktail IV adds B vitamins, magnesium, calcium and vitamin C to the fluids. Most people feel the hydration side within 30 to 60 minutes.
