Is this for you?

What People Come In For — and When We Send Them Elsewhere

  • ●More hair in the shower drain and brush than a few months ago
  • ●Shedding that started 3–6 months after having a baby
  • ●Nails that split, peel or won't grow past a certain length
  • ●Skin that looks dull or tired no matter how much you sleep
  • ●Thinning during a stretch of high stress, illness or crash dieting
  • ●Months on biotin pills with nothing to show for it

When to see a dermatologist first. Hair loss that follows a pattern — a widening part, receding temples, a thinning crown — is usually hormonal, and smooth round bald patches are usually autoimmune. Vitamins won't fix either; a dermatologist can. The Beauty IV helps the nutritional and stress-related kind of shedding, and it can sit alongside dermatology treatment, but it shouldn't delay it. If we think that's you, we'll tell you at intake.

02
What's in the bag

Three Ingredients — and What Each Is For

Biotin (vitamin B7)
For hair and nails

Biotin is the vitamin your body uses to build keratin, the protein hair and nails are made of. A lot of people take 5,000–10,000 mcg pills for months and see nothing, because only a fraction is absorbed. By IV, biotin goes straight into the blood at levels pills don't reliably reach.

Vitamin C
For skin, collagen and glow

Your body can't make collagen without vitamin C, and collagen is what keeps skin firm and gives the scalp its structure. This is the ingredient behind the "my skin looks better" comments after the first session or two.

B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
For the stress side of shedding

Stress-related shedding is real, and B vitamins — B5 in particular — support the stress response that drives it. B3 helps scalp circulation. These are also the vitamins that pregnancy, breastfeeding and the pill quietly deplete.

Want brightening and even tone as well? The Glutathione Brightening IV is the sister drip, or add a glutathione push to this one.

03
What to expect

Results Timeline — Skin First, Hair and Nails Later

Hair and nails grow slowly — roughly half an inch of hair a month, six months for a fingernail to fully replace itself — so a drip can only improve what grows from now on. Skin turns over in weeks, which is why it responds first.

Sessions 1–2
Skin first

Brighter, more hydrated skin is usually the first thing people notice.

Sessions 3–4
Shedding slows

Fewer hairs in the brush and drain, as biotin and B vitamins stabilize.

Sessions 4–8
Thickness and nails

New growth comes in stronger; nails stop splitting and grow longer.

Then
Maintain

Monthly, or every other month once you're happy. Members: one drip a month is included.

💡 Postpartum hair loss — why this is the drip new moms book

During pregnancy, hormones keep hair in its growing phase, which is why it looks so full. After delivery those hormones drop and a lot of hair shifts into shedding at once — usually hitting hardest 3–6 months postpartum. It resolves on its own eventually, but it's alarming, and pregnancy and nursing have also run down the exact vitamins hair needs to regrow: biotin, B vitamins and vitamin C. The Beauty IV replaces those three at once. If you're breastfeeding, mention it at intake so the nurse can review the formula with you.

Membership

Hair Takes Months — Membership Makes the Months Cheaper

Beauty IV can be your included monthly perk as a Vitality Circle member

Because hair and nail results need 4–8 sessions, this is one of the drips where membership pays for itself. The Vitality Circle ($99.99/month) includes one perk a month — 1 standard IV drip (Beauty IV qualifies), 2 vitamin shots, 2 IV pushes, or 1 of each — then 25% off everything else, including a biotin shot between drips. Try one first; join if you like where it's going.

Frequently Asked Questions

Beauty IV — Your Questions, Answered

The Beauty IV at Vita Nova in Baltimore costs $199.99 for a 45–60 minute infusion of biotin, vitamin C and B-complex vitamins for hair, skin and nails. No membership is required. Vitality Circle members ($99.99/month) can choose one standard drip as their included monthly perk, and the Beauty IV qualifies, which matters because hair and nail results take several monthly sessions. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
A biotin IV helps hair that is thinning because of low biotin, stress, illness or postpartum depletion — biotin is the vitamin hair is built with, and an infusion reaches blood levels oral pills don't reliably hit. It will not reverse pattern (hormonal) hair loss or autoimmune patches; those need a dermatologist. At Vita Nova, the Beauty IV pairs biotin with vitamin C for scalp collagen and B-complex for stress-related shedding, and most people see less shedding after 3–4 monthly sessions.
IV biotin is more reliable than pills because it skips digestion: only a fraction of a biotin tablet is absorbed, which is why months of 5,000–10,000 mcg capsules often show no result. The infusion puts biotin directly into the bloodstream at consistent levels. Pills are still fine for maintenance between drips; the IV is for getting levels up in the first place. Available at Vita Nova, 513 Bayview Blvd, Canton, Baltimore.
Yes — postpartum shedding is the most common reason people book the Beauty IV at Vita Nova. After delivery, hormones drop and a lot of hair shifts into shedding at once, typically 3–6 months postpartum, while pregnancy and nursing have depleted the biotin, B vitamins and vitamin C hair needs to regrow. The Beauty IV replaces all three. If you're breastfeeding, tell the nurse at intake so the formula can be reviewed with you.
Skin usually looks brighter after 1–2 Beauty IV sessions. Hair shedding typically slows by session 3–4, and visibly thicker hair and stronger nails take 4–8 monthly sessions, because hair grows about half an inch a month and a fingernail takes six months to fully replace itself. A drip improves what grows from now on; it can't change hair that's already grown. Monthly is the usual cadence, then every other month to maintain.
Yes — skin is usually the first thing to respond. The vitamin C in the Beauty IV is required for collagen production, which is what keeps skin firm and gives it a glow, and B3 in the B-complex supports the skin barrier. Most people notice brighter, more hydrated skin within a session or two. For brightening and even tone specifically, Vita Nova's Glutathione Brightening IV is the better fit, or add a glutathione push to the Beauty IV.
