Sustained physical output under stress. Community Heroes discount applies.

02
Why IV, not a shake

Your Gut Is Offline After a Hard Session — the Drip Doesn't Care

During intense exercise your body sends blood to working muscle and away from your digestive tract. That's why a post-workout shake can sit like a brick, and why some athletes get nauseous or bloated trying to eat right after training. The nutrients are the right idea; the route is the problem in that window.

An IV puts amino acids, B vitamins, minerals and vitamin C straight into your bloodstream, so absorption doesn't depend on how your stomach is doing an hour after a race. It isn't a replacement for eating well — it's for the window when eating well is hard.

Honest framing. A drip won't make you faster or stronger on its own, and it isn't a substitute for sleep, food and a sensible program. What it does is take the guesswork out of one recovery day: you know the nutrients went in, and most people say they feel less wrecked the next morning.

03
What's in the bag

Four Components — and What Each Is For

Amino blend
For muscle repair

Amino acids are what muscle rebuilds with after training. Delivered by IV, they're available to muscle whether or not you managed to eat afterward. Adds glutamine, which the gut and immune system also use after hard efforts.

B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5, B6)
For energy production

These are the vitamins your cells use to turn carbohydrate and fat into usable energy. Long or intense sessions use them up faster than an ordinary diet replaces them, which shows up as flat, heavy-legged days.

Mineral & electrolyte blend
For cramps, hydration and sweat losses

Magnesium for muscle contraction and relaxation (the cramping mineral), zinc and electrolytes to replace what leaves in sweat. Especially relevant after summer training and weight cuts.

Vitamin C
For soreness and connective tissue

An antioxidant for the oxidative stress of hard exercise, and the vitamin your body needs to build collagen for tendons and ligaments. Also supports immunity during heavy training blocks, when colds are common.

04
When to book

After Is the Default — Before Works for Events

⭐ Most common
Within a day after a hard session, race or game

Amino acids and antioxidants are most useful in the hours after the effort, and mineral replacement matches what you just sweated out. Same day or next morning both work.

Also used
The afternoon before an event

Some athletes top up B vitamins and minerals 12–24 hours before a race or fight so they start full. If you're doing this for the first time, don't try it the day before something important — test it in training first.

Deeper recovery: pair Beast Mode with a glutathione push at the end of the drip, or with NAD+ IV during a heavy block.

Membership

Training Every Week? — One Drip a Month Is Included

Beast Mode IV can be your included monthly perk as a Vitality Circle member

If you're in a training block, one recovery drip a month is a reasonable rhythm. The Vitality Circle ($99.99/month) includes one perk a month — 1 standard IV drip (Beast Mode qualifies), 2 vitamin shots (B12 and NAD+ Quick Shot are the athlete favorites), 2 IV pushes, or 1 of each — then 25% off NAD+ IV and other extras. Try one first; join if it earns its place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Beast Mode IV — Your Questions, Answered

The Beast Mode IV at Vita Nova in Baltimore costs $199.99 for a 45–60 minute recovery infusion of amino acids, B-complex vitamins, a mineral and electrolyte blend, and vitamin C. No membership is required. Vitality Circle members ($99.99/month) can choose one standard drip as their included monthly perk, and Beast Mode qualifies. HSA and FSA cards are accepted; Community Heroes discounts apply for military and first responders.
The Beast Mode IV contains four components: an amino acid blend for muscle repair, a B-complex (B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6) for energy production, a mineral and electrolyte blend with magnesium and zinc for cramping and sweat losses, and vitamin C for post-exercise soreness and connective tissue. It contains no stimulants, hormones or banned substances — only vitamins, minerals and amino acids, given by a licensed nurse at Vita Nova in Canton, Baltimore.
After is the default: book the Beast Mode IV within a day of a hard session, race or game, when amino acids, antioxidants and mineral replacement do the most good. Some athletes also use it 12–24 hours before an event to start with B vitamins and minerals topped up. If it's your first drip, try it after a training session rather than the day before something important.
Not better in general — different. After intense exercise, blood flow shifts away from the gut, so a shake or supplement taken in that window is absorbed slowly and often sits uncomfortably. An IV delivers amino acids, B vitamins, minerals and vitamin C directly to the bloodstream regardless of how your stomach is doing. Good food and sleep still matter more; the Beast Mode IV is for the recovery day when your gut isn't cooperating.
The ingredients — vitamins, minerals and amino acids — are not banned substances. However, WADA and some sports bodies restrict IV infusions themselves above a certain volume outside of medical treatment, regardless of contents. If you compete under anti-doping rules, check your federation's IV policy before booking. Vita Nova can tell you the exact formula and volume for that conversation; call (443) 563-1059.
The Beast Mode IV takes 45 to 60 minutes at Vita Nova, about 75 minutes door to door with a short intake on your first visit. No driver is needed; you can drive home or go straight to work. Appointments are recommended; walk-ins are seen when availability allows. Hours: Mon–Fri 1–8 PM, Sat 10 AM–2 PM, 513 Bayview Blvd, Canton, free parking.
We usually suggest 24 to 48 hours before the event rather than the same morning, so you start with your fluid and electrolyte levels settled. After a marathon or tournament, booking within 24 hours gives the most efficient rebound. An IV doesn't directly improve performance; it takes dehydration off the list of things that can go wrong.
During exercise itself, sports drinks work well and are well studied. An IV earns its place around the event: before it as a buffer, and after it when your stomach isn't absorbing well and you want fluids and electrolytes back faster than you can drink them. If fluids are all you need, the Hydration Boost IV is the simpler choice.
