At Vita Nova, our mission is to make advanced care pathways feel clear, respectful, and genuinely informed. That means physician oversight, careful clinical screening, in-clinic monitoring when required, and plain-language education before anyone commits to a plan.
Whether you're exploring mental health support, chronic pain care pathways, or wellness services like IV therapy and vitamin infusions, we provide a professional, private environment where patients feel genuinely informed — not pressured. We serve the Canton community from our clinic at 513 Bayview Blvd since 2023.
Vita Nova was founded by three clinicians — an anesthesiologist, a nurse practitioner, and a nurse anesthetist — who brought together complementary expertise to build something Baltimore didn't have: a physician-led, fully credentialed, transparently operated ketamine and wellness clinic. Patient experience is led day-to-day by Patient Care Coordinator Ruchi Vazarkar, whose background in medical aesthetics and dermatologic surgery brings real clinical empathy to every first contact.
Transparent policies, clear expectations, plain-language education before any commitment.
Exploring care options when standard approaches haven't met patient needs.
Consistent clinical standards, monitoring-first protocols, and thorough documentation.
We listen first. We explain options without pressure or urgency.
Respectful, private care — especially for sensitive mental health and pain concerns.
Continuous training and evidence-based process improvement for every patient.
Three credentialed clinicians with combined decades of experience in anesthesiology, nursing, and clinical operations — plus a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator who makes every patient journey personal. All clinical credentials are independently verifiable.
Recognized among Baltimore's Top Doctors, Dr. Brijen L. Joshi is a physician at the intersection of medicine, research, and innovation — advancing anesthesiology while pioneering patient-centered approaches in mental health and wellness. He is an active Johns Hopkins Faculty Physician, Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology & Critical Care Medicine, and Chief of Thoracic Anesthesia at Johns Hopkins Hospital. He is also Founder of OnPoint Ventilation, a medical device company developing next-generation airway management solutions.
Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with over 10 years of frontline healthcare experience, Yvonne serves as lead clinician at Vita Nova — recognized for her patient-centered care across primary and specialty settings. Her approach blends clinical excellence with empathy, ensuring each patient feels seen, heard, and supported in their healing journey.
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist with over a decade of experience in anesthesia and perioperative care, Leslie brings a unique combination of clinical expertise and operational leadership to Vita Nova. He began his career in critical care nursing before practicing as a CRNA at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center — giving him a foundation in clinical monitoring and patient care that informs every aspect of Vita Nova's operational protocols.
Ruchi is the face and voice many patients encounter first at Vita Nova — the person who answers your call, walks you through what to expect, and makes sure every step of your care feels organized and personal. With a clinical background in medical aesthetics and dermatologic surgery, she brings real healthcare experience to a role that's often treated as administrative. Patients consistently describe their first contact with Ruchi as the moment they felt confident they were in the right hands.
